Great idea!! But here’s a question since you like myself have to deal with salt... how do you get the rust off that is already there from road salt?

Bad for the environment, as others stated. If I had a house with well water I would not want someone spraying gallons and gallons of WD-40 nearby.

This. And all of this.

Regardless of how much or little you think you're overspraying, the fact is that you're introducing unnecessary petroleum to the ground water and runoff.

It baffles me how we can be so, I don't know, arrogant(?) that we think that "oh, it's only a little..." isn't a big deal.

There are other products/options that have similar effects on the frames without using a petroleum based product.

Just had my first application of fluid film last night . Fairly impressed with the product - I like that it's not super chemical smelling and fairly natural .

I use wd-40 sometimes on my engine bay if I go off roading and will be doing water crossings and mud. Not a lot just a mist.

My whole frame/underbody is covered I. Fluid film. I used a brush and laid it on there.

The inside of the frame is painted with Eastwood Internal frame Coating. Then I covered it with Eastwood heavy duty grease. ( I actually really like this product. It's the same concept as fluid film. But when it dries. It's like glue! And it's thin. Look into it. I bought like 6 cans. And sprayed inside of the frame. And small body cavities)

Frame looks greasy. But I can assure you that it's RUST FREE AND WILL BE RUST FREE FOR A WHILE !
