LOL. Same here. Bought my 4runner right before we moved. Wish I would have had one way before I moved.

I moved to SLC about 10 years ago with no intent to stick around. I'm still here... It has plenty of issues - smog being my #1 reason I will probably leave some day, but being able to ride my mountain bike from my house to the mountains, be less than 30 minutes to 6 ski resorts, less than 15 minutes to the airport, and still close enough to also ride my bike to my office is practically impossible to find anywhere else. Not to mention having a 4 day a week job and 3.5hr drive to moab means I can get down there 4-6 times a year. Plus the cost of living is low.
The biggest problem is influx of the Instagram generation. All the hidden outdoor places are instagram'd and now they're overrun with people. Not that many years ago I have a picture of my 4runner being the only vehicle in the entire parking area for slickrock trail in Moab. Next season they're likely toing to start requiring permits just to go into some of the national parks that you have to pre-purchase because they're so crowded. There's traffic jams in the Grand Staircase - 10 years ago if you saw one other person in a week it was unusual. It's starting to get loved to death. - not unique to Utah though. My hometown of Bozeman, MT is overrun with the same thing. To the point that it's basically lost everything it once had as a charming small town. When the "Milt's" and "Betty's" restaurants give way to names like "Plonk" and "Spoon" - it's no longer charming small town and has made the conversion to generic touristville America.
