Satellite Radio Using a Pioneer HU.

Hi Guys,
Does anyone have experience with Siriusxm add on for a pioneer HU? Specifically the Pioneer 920XM or the Pioneer CD-SB10/SCC1 combo?

I just bought the Pioneer AVH-P3200BT HU and I've always had Sirius in my vehicles. All my research points towards the 920XM add on going the XM route.

Yes I know same channels same company pretty much, my question centers around any known problems or any advantages with one add on versus the other.
I was also dismayed to find out that the HU will on allow so much channel, band, song info on the HU screen.

However I ended up going the Pioneer XM 920 route and I installed the antenna on the dash just forward of the center speaker. Can't even see it as its down in the curve so to speak. No problems with reception.
I used to have a Sirius antenna mounted on the roof of my previous Nissan Titan and after time and with enough extremes and constant weather it eventually stopped working. This is why I was originally very interested in what the guy did on his install inside the link here. Take a look, good pictures and great improvisation.

Hey, so I want to add Sirius to my Pioneer head unit in my s series since I already have it in my truck and a second subscription is pretty cheap. Anyways, where is the best place to run the antenna wire threw to mount the antenna on the roof? The antenna has a very strong magnet that sticks to metal.

I have Sirius in my car connected to my Pioneer Z120BT. I previously had a Sporster 5 connected to my factory stereo. The biggest dissappointment I've had since switching is, YES, my new setup only allows like one line of information for the channel. And no more rewind.

I think XM might be better in the display aspect.

Are the channels all the same now? I thought if you got XM then you'd have to get "best of sirius" package to get Sirius stations and vice versa.

Some channels are shared across the platforms, like the music and general talk stations. The "Best of Sirius" and "Best of XM" packages for the things that they had "exclusively" to one or the other.

So the Best of Sirius will give an XM subscriber things like Howard and NFL games. While the Best of XM will give a Sirius subscriber things like O&A, NBA and MLB.

O&A is all you need imo
