Satoshi Grill Mod - 5th Gen

Grill border

Hey guys quick question

So a lot of you are pretty great at fabrication... Me not so much... so I have my grill sitting here from customgril.com it is the precut one that just came out a month ago... Does anyone have a recommendation on what to use for a good border around the grill to make it look cleaner ? And possibly a better way to mount it besides using zipties?

I know i know at my lack of skill level I would prob be better off waiting for them to start selling this grill.

I wouldn't be such a Lil girl if you didnt have to cut your OEM grill:cry2:
 
Honestly I glued the hell out of the mesh and covered with "door protectors" to give a cleaner look. I am extremely happy with it.

I have been scouring threads and that has to be the cleanest and best looking grill mod to date. Well done!!!
 
anyone try to cut out and fill the stock grill with the mesh out of the lower grill to get rid of the toyota emblem? saw it on crown vics and thought it would look cool

Thank you for all of the comments...HID conversion is next. Found some trail headlamps on ebay for 200 and some LS460 headlamps at the junkyard, 30 each. Praying that I can remove the parts I need and not f it all up.

The lower grille mesh isn't as deep. That was my plan, but the mesh isn't the same.

I got mine from the dealer, but I told them I could get it online for half the price they were wanting (I really could have, I wasn't trying to blow smoke up their ***), and they price matched it for $30 something, so I got it the next day.

Just wanted to post some pics of the back of the emblem, since I didn't see any in this thread

I've looked at several of these and I believe most people are getting the 1984-87 Land Cruiser. Looks like the same size as the one whodat has. I just got mine a couple of days ago. If this is the one you want, part no. to ask for is: 75311-90K00

Do those little tabs get ground down?
 
I chopped them off to make a smooth layer, and then used the exterior mounting tape that Andrew (Adio3x) used. I figured his is still on, and he made a few of them for other members on here, his method should work for me also.

And Deekoi's part number is what I used too, 75311-90K00.
 
did some work over the weekend on the front end. blacked out the chrome accents with the bezel. lovin' the satoshi grill mod.
