i'm totally intrigued, Jesse1983. could you provide an extreme close-up of where the mesh runs along the edge of the plastic? sorry, seems i'm the crazy "close-up request" guy in this thread.Mine is done. Need more daylight to install.
and where'd you get your mesh? it's metal, yes?

Yeah I sprayed everything today, looks better, just still not happy with the grill material. I will wait and see how yours turns out.
Stock Toyota emblem is not going back on. I am trying to get my hands on a old school Toyota to see what it will look like.

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!! I can only find little ones on Ebay. I am probobly just order a new one from dealer on Monday. Cant be that much.

This is like a poker game my friend...don't like to show all the cards at once ya' know..
:This mod was on the top of the list till' the trailer got in the way...this is off a Toyota 70 series front grille..mid 80's I believe.
I'm not sure where the reciept is...but give Cruiser Dan at American Toyota Phone is 1-800-432-6668 ext. 8 a call....he can hook a brother up!

Yea, i was thinking more along the lines of one off the older land cuisers...like late 60's early 70's. (sorry if i'm assuming the same style you were...i dont know land cruiser designations)

I was thinking of this one too, the one without the black trim.
But I think that this one pictured above is better then the old LC one. Especially if you put it in the upper right corner of the grill..

Jeez...I step away for a few days to get some school work done / get rained in on the East Coast / Go to Punkin' Chunkin' and look what you guys did!!

I finished everything I just need to put it on the car...The one thing I am worried about is that my stock TE just doesn't look badass enough to pull off the Sitoshi. I think it would look a lot better if I was lifted with some big tires under there.
So I guess to justify my $50 Sitoshi mod I probably need to go ahead and order an Icon Stage II, and 33s?

thanks. i'll get a close up if I take it back apart for some reason. but basically the painted cover lays over the the grill insert i made, so my cuts, etc, are covered once the plastic painted part is tightened back down.
It's nice that the painted piece separates from the mounting plastic piece of the grill, makes this a lot easier.

yea, that was the plan. while it's not a perfect match, it's as close as i could find. And maybe I'll redo the lower grill with the same material.

sweet. thought it might be the customcargrill material. which one did you go with? i'm on the fence about what to use; thinking a plastic mesh material, but iffy. at least customcargrill will powdercoat it for you, so you spare yourself the rattle-canning.
looking forward to seeing it in place. we're fortunate that the 5G grill is already fairly recessed which makes the Satoshi mod less involved. (the Tacoma guys seem to go to great lengths... but you already knew that, yeah?)
