Thanks for the compliments guys! It took me a while to finally commit and do it. Took a bit of time, just be patient and trim little by little. Be sure to have a good pair of tin snips. Makes the trimming go super smooth.

I also spray painted the a/c condenser and radiator flat black with a high temp paint. Made a huge difference. Probably should spray the top radiator support as well, just didnt want to wait. I'll probably do it on my next break.

3 small black zip ties. They are there just hidden quite well. I didnt even try looking for them in the pics.

Haha and here's another compliment! It looks awesome! What did you use to attach the Toyota emblem?

^the emblem has 3 post molded to it. I cut one of them off since it was in the way and drilled a hole in the other 2 post. From there I stuck a cotter pin through the hole I drilled to help keep the emblem from being pulled off. I also lined the back of the emblem with industrial/autmotive double sided tape. If I can find a point and shoot I'll take a pic of what I talking about.

OK thanks! Yea I have the same 3 mounting posts on mine as well. I was going to use the double sided tape and was hoping not to have to use zip ties. Thanks for the great suggestion and try and grab a picture if ya can for the rest of us. :biggrin2:

I used double sided tape on mine. The good, thick 3M kind. Been on a while and it still looks like I put it on yesterday. I would say dont worry about using zip ties, the tape should work just fine

3M all the way! I only drilled and added cotter pins to the emblem just in case the tape fails or somebody wants to try and steal it. You never know.

This may sound repetitive, but can you take a picture of the zip ties for me (of where you placed them)? Your grill is one of the best I've seen and would really like mine to come out equally as good. Also, did you get your grill from customcargrills.com as well? Thanks so much! :bigok:

Circled in red. I also got mine from customgrills same one that jesse got.

*Sorry I just realized that its kinda hard to see, but look for three circles along the bottom perimeter. They are there. Trust me.

Perfect! Thanks!! I assume you left the bottom factory cut and only had to cut the top and sides (which are covered anyway). Now I'm looking forward to doing this!! :jump:

1. Did you put a rubber trim around the grill, if so, where did you get it from?
2. What are your plans for the lower grill valance?
3. Total cost from start to finish?
