Satoshi grill mod question

VERY NIIIIIIIIIIICE!

Those new lights look perfect! (Those replaced the set of lights where one was stolen right??? Way to use the opportunity to upgrade)

All that thing needs is some wheels/tires and it'll really POP! :hungry:

So all of that mesh you painted black is gutter mesh from home depot?
Awesome job man it really looks nice and you may have sold me on this mod haha

yes sir, $2 bucks per piece (you only need one). This is a pretty cheap mod and everything is typically readily available at hoe depot/lowes (bolts, nuts, paint, mesh). I did purchase a dremel but I think you can get by with a hand saw (a dremel is a pretty amazing/multifunctional tool and I do not know why I never had one before). If you do end up starting this mod, don't hesitate to contact me for any questions n such :)

and yes, I tend to use alot of parenthesis.

thanks man! I definitely made full use of the 'opportune moment' (ironically when something was stolen from me).

And Yes, I don't think anyone has the stock 4runner wheels that I have (LOL). I have never seen anyone with them. I am waiting for my current tires to ware off and I will most likely get 265s and paint wheels black or graphite. This shall hopefully happen before I head off to A&M in August *fingers crossed*

You turned bad into good man. Keep an eye on your local C-list and see if you see a set of factory wheels come up. I'm always in the auto parts section searching "toyota" and "4runner" just for kicks. You might find a deal. I've seen sets of 5 stars, tundra/sequoia split 5 spokes, and all kinds of other stuff come up for $150 on c-list. If you could find some tundra/sequoia split 5's they're 17x8... put those on some 265's and they'll push the edge of the tire out a bit... that thing will look low (not in a bad way, but stock low), level, monochrome, and mean.

On my very first Runner that we had to sell recently, I had those same exact stock rims. Except they were in terrible condition lol. They hold a special place in my heart...

Oh, and Gig 'Em, I'll be heading to A&M in the fall too for my freshman year!

haha these rims definitely do hold a special place within my '4runner fund' budget!

and good luck man! I personally did not attend A&M for undergrad but I know it gets prettyy crazyyyy.

just curious where did you buy those BM lights at? i've looked and the cheapest i can find is like $250+

Yea, a nice set of flat or satin black wheels with some meaty tires would make your 4runner on my top 5 favorites here on the forum. But yeah having the funds is important too!

Awesome dude! looks a million times better!

BTW, with your wheel choice, I see those steelies all the time, don't waste your time getting new tires unless you get yourself some 16"+... so at least you can do the tundra brake mod.

I actually have those wheels. I bought them I Craigslist painted them glossy black and threw my mud terrains on em. Did yours come from the factory with those?

Oh stop trying to sell the 16'" deal again! I got the 15's and I am plenty happy, 16" means more money. Haha

I got mine from amazon, here is a link Amazon.com: Hella 005750991 500 Series 12V/55W Black Magic Halogen Driving Lamp Kit: Automotive

Grill looks good OP, body color is the way to go !

yupp, I'm glad I chose body color! chrome doesn't appeal to me as it does to some people

Do you happen to have a picture of these wheels (painted black)? You actually bought em off C-list? I would sell these rims for a good price in a heart beat! They came factory on mine when my parents bought this 4runner in 96/97

I will get a picture tomorrow if I wash it. They are red now from mud! I got the set for 60 bucks and just needed another set of wheels to put my M/T's on. They actually look really good black.

Looks great man! Awesome to see how this turned out with the emblem. One thing though, I think its a little off center or maybe its just me. Just sayin. Good work though.
