There is also one in New Castle, Delaware. So, not only do you save the shipping, but you get them tax free. If you still use more gas doing this, then it isn't a good idea, just to clear that up for some of you.

Dont forget to declare this purchase on your taxes as Im sure all of us will do because we abide by the law and we all love the way New Jersey taxes every goddamn thing it can possibly tax at rates that make the the rest of the citizens of the US roll their eyes back into their heads and gasp for breath.

Wow, I did not know this. Just another reason I'll never live in NJ.

Wish we could!

Fortunately/unfortunately the standard deduction for married couples filing jointly is $24,000 so I’d have to come up with $23,000 in other deductions to be able to claim it.

With mortgage rates dropping, less of your payment is going to interest, which gives you buying power, great, but less of your payment is deductible.

Now what was that about spending $1000 to save $500…

Not a deduction.

You have to declare goods that you purchased from out of state, where you didn't pay taxes, and then pay the taxes in New Jersey. Its like that in most states I would imagine but I bet a lot of people just "forget" to do it.
