No reason other than my choice of industry (telco) doesn’t pay much differently in cost of living adjustments for HCOL areas than it does LCOL areas.

What would be a plum job (akin to railroad, city, etc.) in the southeast US wouldn’t hold a candle to prices influenced by higher NYC metro salaries.

For not just one, but several telephone companies, there are concentrations of director and VP level talent in both NJ and TX, specifically.

Yea, Verizon/AT&T are huge here. AT&T a lot moved to Texas, however.

Basically nothing. Much more of a hassle if you get a bad tire too. I really don't get buying for them considering their prices are the same as any number of my local places.

Amazon is cheaper and can send the tires right to an installer. Another 5% cheaper if you have the Amazon Prime Visa.
