I may do the same as you. Buy from Costco, and find a local shop or Toyota dealer. Have to make sure they can balance Toyota rims (Haweka adapter).


Funny, Costco had no problems putting larger tires on my GF's Corolla.

BTW I used the Whitemarsh Costco, not the Anne Arundel mills COstco, they might put the larger size on .... I have not dealt with AA costco.

It's interesting - the Revo name is stamped in the sidewall, almost like it was an afterthought. You wouldn't know unless you looked closely or knew the tread.

The 65s are approx $25 more then the 70s. The Dueler A/Ts are completely different from the Dueler A/T REVOs.

Anyone know of a place in the So. Cal. Area that will take stocks for a trade in. I heard there was but didn't get all the info. I don't have 500 on them yet.

Would you all still recommend the REVO's even though I don't do mud and snow.
Just desert trails and city streets?

I don't know that I neccessarily want to upsize, but upgrade would be great, before I hit the desert runs. The dang Cholla Cactus can do a number on the Dunlops. Last run we had 4 flat tires.

Just for my own information...

You want to trade-in four tires that have only 500 miles on them and have had four flat repairs?

What would you pay for tires like that? Are they worth the time and expense of dis-mounting and re-mounting?

I would say get the Revos anyway. They are excellent tires and will make you think you are driving a different truck! I drive in the rain/snow/sun and I would never even think of putting on other tires. My Dunlops could barely get traction on plain old sand. I thought my traction light would burn out it was flashing so much with the Dunlops. Now, it hasn't went on once! They are a little noiser than your average H/T tire but nothing too drastic. I stuck with the 265/65 as well. If I only drove on nice sunny days, I would still put on Revos they are that good!

Sorry for the confusion.

I go out to the desert about once a month, with a rock-hound group. There are typically 15 - 20 vehicles everything from a Converted Van with added 4x4, jeeps, Jimmy's and of course more than a few 4Runners.

Our last trip to Afton Canyon produced 4 flats on 3 different vehicles. The one with two flats was a brand new 4runner with the stock Dunlops.
I want to avoid that.

So I am looking to trade in my stock Dunlops to something which will be more study for the trail.

I Heard there a place near Mission Viejo. Just don't remember the name of the tire shop.

Our last trip to Afton Canyon produced 4 flats on 3 different vehicles. The one with two flats was a brand new 4runner with the stock Dunlops. I want to avoid that.

If this is the case, then i would consider: BFG AT KO, Goodyear Wrangler with SilentArmor, or Goodyear Fortera with SilentArmor. GY Wrangler SA is an all-terrain tire. GY Fortera SA is a highway tire (comfy & quiet ride), but it is very puncture resistant.

Actually that is what I found too. Not just REVOs but both of the Goodyear Silent Armor types also.

I have the 31"x 10.5"x LT15" REVOs on my Taco. They have a "C" load range (2270 lbs) - 6 Ply - 2 Ply sidewall, They are the best riding tire I've had on a truck; smooth, quiet, takes the bumps softer, handles better, phenomenal grip (dry, wet, snow), absolutely no hydroplaning. I had a set of 31

Service Specialist in Irvine. I went to them right after I purchased. They gave me 50 per tire on all five. I bought five new ones and they gave me a good price. Plus, they didn't screw up the tire sensors - they work fine.

I have used them probably more than 6 or 7 times. Always good price and nice work.
