Hello and Welcome to my rig's humble first appearance!
She is an 05 Sport Edition V8 4x4
Titanium Metallic w/ Stone Leather Interior
I got nearly all the goodies I could on her (wish it could have included a SC and Borla system, ohwell).
Currently she is in 100% stock form with the exception of 15% tint all around.
I LOVE THIS TRUCK! And can't wait to find some source of funds to fuel my MOD BUG.
My hat is off to TOYOTA!

Congrats on the truck!! Listen out for rattles in the sun roof. If it happens, bring it to the dealer RIGHT AWAY. Otherwise, you're going to be paying $2,250.00 for repairs to the sun roof in 3 years when it's out of warranty. Apparently Toyota doesn't give a crap about customer service.

Just wondering what the rattle is all about. Is it in the sliding door, or is it in the actual glass and moving parts. I do hear a little something when the sunroof is closed and the sliding roof liner is open when i close the door

Resonse to rattle question

The rattle is under the headline right behind the sun roof. The diagnosis was that the cables and the tracks were completly worn. Although I have high mileage on my sport (51K, thanks to my fabulous commute) the car hasn't even had it's second birthday. Hopw can the roof be worn in less than 2 years? Hello!!!! I live in New England!! The sun roof only gets opened to or from work, IF it's nice out, in the summer. That's what. maybe twice?

ever look at your roof as you are closing any of your doors? Mine shakes, although I guess this would be expected it was just more pronounced than I thought. give it a try, you might be surprised.....
i cant wait to lift it so i dont have to look at the roof

My husband has an 04 Limited. When he compared the tightmess of his sunroof to my 03 sport's suin roof, he found they were about equal. Our guess is that Toyota has just started breaking into the world of cush and comfort, and just doesn't know how to design well yet. Maybe they should go back to the bare bones style that they are good at. All their cushy options are crap, and brek every 10 minutes.

I wonder what they would say if I raised this issue with them, putting an old spoiler on a new car. I DONT care, i actually like it w/out the bulge, but knowing that they might have skimped in any OTHER ways makes me kind of pissed.

I like the 03-04 rear spoiler too... party because i have one.. and because it doesn't have that bulge... in my mind.. its a little too big and doesn't suit the vehicle. Especially if you don't have roof racks.

Very nice truck you have there. It looks great, especially with the tints and leather. I could see how new it is by looking at the DVD system. You still haven't gotten around to taking off the "inspected by" sticker! That spoiler you have fits the sport edition perfectly. I wouldn't argue about it!

I had no idea that they could install a factory tv in the headrest. Why not both. How much was that option. Just wondering

I wouldn't worry about it -- I believe you have a dealer-installed (or maybe port-installed) spoiler, not the factory one that has the hump for '05. It's highly likely that the design of that particular spoiler hasn't changed to match the '05 factory one.

You can tell by the position of the center high mounted stop lamp (CHMSL) -- the factory spoilers (both the 03-04 and the fatter 05) are positioned in the middle (vertically) of the spoiler. The dealer-installed spoiler has the CHMSL positioned on the bottom edge of the spoiler.

If I recall correctly, that particular spoiler has an LED-based CHMSL, so that's another positive.

One other way to confirm -- check behind the spoiler and see if you have a CHMSL on your liftgate. Those with factory-installed spoilers have an indentation (but no light) where the CHMSL would have been on the liftgate.

I actually like the spoiler better myself aswell, im not gonna say anything!!!

Chunder: there is one in each headrest, I jjust oncovered the pass. one for the pic. I really got them to listen to the soundtracks of movies, but it sounds like crap with the current fm modulator, so i gotta get that fixed. Of course, the occasional rear passenger can enjoy a flick (surf video normally )
I believe it was around $1995. It wasnt my first choice in factory mods, but was one of the only ones I could get.... no exhaust or wheels :\.
