ScanGauge II questions *Update* Figured out a good code finally!
So I bought a ScanGauge II the other day. I've gotten some kinda crappy gas mileage and I really was hoping to see my AFR live to get a better idea of when my truck is using more gas. I have a 1999 Limited with Cali emissions.
Anyways, I'm setting up the X Gauges and I tried every one on the scanguage II website and none of them worked. I found this post:

I entered in the one using TXD: 686AF101B4 I get readings and it sort of looks like an AFR. If you notice in the thread I posted, many of Xgauges use the same TXD code as the TFT xgauge. As Robb235 pointed out in post #88, these are all using the same TXD, which is the PID, which, on our trucks, is the transmission temp sensor (on 99+ trucks)
My question is this. The AFR Xgauge uses the same TXD as the TFT Xgauge I set up which seems to be good. In the AFR XGauge, am I just seeing a differently formatted/interpreted data stream of the TFT sensor? Is the TXD: 686AF101B4, which "seems" to be a memory address in the ECU, a bus connection to all the sensors I might be able to communicate with? I guess my question is, am I communicating with the sensor directly through the ECU or am I tapping the ECU bus and the RXD or other settings selecting the right data stream and I am seeing good readings.
Furthermore I read a guys input named Gadget on a Tacoma website, who really seems to know his stuff and he further says that even though our trucks (cali emissions with an AFR sensor) the AFR cannot be interpreted even though it is wideband. I think he was talking about directly tapping the sensor itself, as I believe that was the question, but he did say in one response that the AFR sensor in our Cali emissions is NOT a wideband AFR sensor.
I'm having information overload here and just want to know I'm looking at "good" data.
