Hmm interested. This is the first time I've heard of this and I've been working on a few different JDM cars no problem. I've even used a few help articles that specifically say to use the #2 Philips

As soon as you use a JIS screwdriver, you'll realize how huge of a difference it is. May not seem like it, but it's really night and day, no longer having to fight to keep the Philips driver in the screw head. A Philips will *work* in most cases, but is not ideal. The only reason you see them in articles is because they're what everyone has readily available and they get the job done, though not without trashing some screws.
