Scion T1808, Sirius SCC1, TOYSC1, and iPod cable installed

Big thanks to everyone here on the forum for pointing me in the right direction choosing the head unit and everything I needed to get the Sirius and iPod connection put together. I'm very happy with the way it turned out. Can't beat this setup for $170 (everything from eBay) and a couple hours of work!

Also curious to find out what color is the display. Is it amber like our T4R's? I might have to do this, I hate the stock 4runner stereo.

Me too. Getting tired of turning on my runner and having my stock stereo spit out all of the CD's in the changer.

I got the head unit for $82 shipped on eBay. The display is not the same color as the stock 4Runner dash lighting, it is more red-orange instead of amber. It doesn't bother me too much though.

Overkill, one more quick question, is this a complete plug-n-play with our stock T4R harness? Seriously considering this as I don't have the $799 for the Kenwood Navi unit I want yet .

I miss the iPod connection I had on my Audi S4 and right now just have a crappy tape iPod connector for the runner. Hows the sound quality over the stock head unit?

Yep, unplug the factory head unit and plug the Scion unit right in.

A little bit of lacquer thinner or fingernail polish remover will take the Scion and Pioneer logos off. Don't use to much or rub to hard or it will take the black with it.

This unit sounds waaaay better than the stock head unit even with the factory speakers. It's the best bang for the buck out there for a low cost high quality upgrade.

Sweet, now to find a day to set aside to take off my whole dash!

Removing the dash is not nearly as bad as it looks in pictures. I had my OEM head unit out in about an hour the first time, and I took it apart in about half an hour the second time (had to come back apart to put the Sirius stuff in since it didn't arrive until a couple days later).

I was pleasantly surprised with the improved sound quality. The bass is much fuller than the original head unit! I'm considering the nail polish remover to take off the Scion logo, too, but I haven't done it yet.
