I'm sure someone else will confirm this for me, but all the Scion's have the same radio. This should work in your '05 . . . . IF . . . . you don't have the JBL 10 speaker system- you have to have the stock toyota radio, which it sounds like you do. I just swapped out my standard '04 radio for one from an '05 Scion tC and it sounds GREAT.

Good luck with the install. Try to get a copy of the manual, as there are a few things you may not realize about the HU's potential. Otherwise, let me know and I will PM you with them.

Be sure to read the other post about Scion HUs ( I think you already did- I think I saw a post by you up there) to make sure you drill for the second antenna.

BTW, if you hold down the "SPP" button for a few seconds, it will display what car the Scion HU was initially installed for. When I first got mine, it had "tC," but I changed it to xB by selecting the volume up/down button. I'm no audiophile, but changing this selection gives you a different sound. I would imagine that a smaller car like a tC would require different EQ settings than an xB, but I preferred the xB setting because it seemed to spread the bass/treble.
Another nice feature is changing the welcome screen to display what you want. I think it holds up to 12 characters, but make sure you get the T1804. The T1804 is the only model that I'm aware of that allows you to change the text. One note though, if you upgrade your speakers like I did, the HU may not be able to power them. As I mentioned before, I'm no audiophile, but I decided to upgrade the speakers to Infinity References as well. Now I have to buy an amp to power them, because the HU isn't strong enough. The guy at CC stated underpowering a speaker(s) can actually damage them. Now I know.
