Scorpion ATR vs Destination A/T vs Dueler A/T Revo

I can only talk about my experiences with the Revos. I have gone to Raush Creek with them, get 19+MPG on the highway consistantly, and are one of the best handling tires I have ever had on a car or truck (used to have a camaro). Costco has them special order with free lifetime rotation and balance/flat repair/road hazard warranty.

Being a police officer, I need to get into work no matter the conditions, and I last year I had 4 other officers call me to come and pick them up because they couldnt make it in a huge snowstorm we had even with their 4wd's. I love the tires, have 55000 on them, and expect to get about 15k more before replacing them. I love Bridgestone/Firestone, and cant imagine buying anything else.

Got a thin light dusting this morning. Got slushier as you get past Colfax. But just 2-3 inches down in 2,500 feet.

First off the REVO was on the market long before the other two and has a following (I for one). Look at the following of the BFG KO considering its ratings. These tires have proven themselves over and over.

Each one of these three tires has their strengths and weaknesses. The one thing about the REVO that make me favor this tire is, I KNOW this tire will maintain its great bad weather traction throughout its life. Every other tire I owned faded after 35K miles. The jury is out on the other two.

Mine have 37k on them , and has NOT held it's bad weather traction. Depends what you consider bad weather traction , wet weather they are still great , ride is nice , gas milage is great with them, but I do notice quite a bit of deterioration in them. No reason why they should be any better than any other one as they wear down except the tread pattern it has is good.

What do you want your tires to do for your truck ??

Would I buy them again ?? Not planning on it and would like to try something different , but never say never.

They are a nice tire but overly hyped on here IMO. There are a lot of people on here with different tires on their truck , and stuff I would never consider buying and putting on my truck , but if it works for them and keeps them safe on the road thats all that counts.

I know we are all not rich , but the biggest advice I can give you is don't let price be a factor ( within reason of course) If Revos fit your bill / budget / uses then you should be good to go.

Mostly onroad, with GREAT snow performance. I plan to do some offroading, but probabably nothing a good snow tire couldn't handle. I want the aggressive look and good MPG. I'd be open to the idea of slightly bigger tires (for cosmetics).

With you going to lift I would go to 265/70's , the 265/65 look wimpy even on an unlifted truck IMO.

Gas milage , all I can say is that has been great with my Revos on my 4R. I've not had any other things on my 4R.

There are a number of tires catching my interest for severe weather/snow & snow wheeling

1. Goodyear Silent Armor AT , severe weather rated ( mountain / snowflake symbol) .

2. Nitto Terra grappler , look nice , never heard anything bad , Ron Maiden knows more about these as he has them on his 3rd gen. ( not severe weather rated )

3rd.Nokian ( i think ) is supposed to be severe weather rated . I have no experience with them.

4.BFG AT , pretty aggressive AT , I've run them for many years , they have a great look , big following , I've had great on / off road performance with them , even in wet weather / rain , other say different about rain I never had a problem. ( these are also severe weather rated)

5. Revos : Some swear by them in snow , others like me do not . They ( to me were nothing out of the ordinary) , but none the less are a good , mild AT tire , nice ride , great in heavy rain , gas milage. You may still want to consider them . They do have some benefits to them that are good. The are NOT severe weather rated. They are supposed to have something called "UNI-T" compound that help the tire maintain traction as is wears , I'm not expert but you know I feel about that. Personally think its more of a marketing thing than anything else.

Severe weather rating ( mountian/snowflake symbol on side of tire ) :: something you might be familiar with. Some roads where you live either require that rating or tire chains to go on some mountain roads in winter . Some believe in this rating , others do not .

As far as looks go if your also going for an off road type of look , I would go BFG AT or Nitto TG's.

Now !! We get into the tire ratings . "P" rated metric is lighter , smoother ride . and a tread depth of 13/32 ( for the most part ) . A "C" rated tires is stiffer ride , heavier , so fuel milage may be affected , tougher sidewalls ect..... most "C" rated have a 16/32 tread depth.

There are trade off's to everything. I personally don't think you could really go wrong with any of the above depending on your needs. All are good , just some have stronger and weaker points.
