I bought a self install Clear Bra kit and it was only $300.00. My dealer installs it so I may let them do it. I was told it would only cost $75.00 to install which isn't too bad.
If you don't do the wrap yourself, it can get pretty pricey. I think $4-5k for a full body wrap would be about the going rate. At that price, I'd probably just drive it, and have it re-painted in 10 years. It'll be cheaper and the white 4runner should be easy to repaint in white.
You could also try 3M Defender Paint Protection Spray. Basically it's paint protection film in a spray can you apply yourself. Spray it on, go wheeling, come home and peel it off.

any updates on this white paint discussion, I was laughing pretty hard at this thread. Just bought an 18 4runner in WHITE. I am not worried about it tho I had a black car and learned how to prevent spider webs with proper wash technique. I wouldn't touch a car with a detail spray and MF towel unless it had just been washed, even one hour of sitting around the car will accumulate dust that is like sand paper when wiped off. Black gets dirty in no time, dust accumulates and you can see it just sitting on top. Dust on white takes a little more time to show up imo. Vise versa with mud and road grime. If you're worried about dirty car get a beige car (yuck).
