Screw Plasma and LCD TVs

There has been problems with older plasmas and high altitude and Mike does live in Colorado so that could be the culprit but newer ones are improved.

I'm just partial to a LCD because I don't have dedicated dark rooms for the TVs and I can't handle screen glare and power consumption is nearly 3x more than an LCD in real world TV watching.

I'll probably be the last guy on earth to ever step up to HDTV. Heck, I still use VHS tapes if I am not home when something good is on TV.

Don't bet on it.... I have 65" Mitsubishi projection TV for 12 yrs and still going strong. I want it to break down so I can buy a LCD but it won't. I don't want just to throw it away.
One time, my sons played with each other :vader: accidentally hit the corner of the screen and made small cracks on the corner of the screen. They were scare to death to get in trouble with me. All I said was "Good job. Next time hit it right in the center." My wife was :jaw drop: I have LCD in my kitchen and bedroom for more than 4 yrs and they work fine.

LOL! they can play today no class!

TVs are on sale @ Bestbuy and Frys. Bestbuy said they already have LEDs but need to sell those 2009 inventories.

We had an old school sony 53 inch big screen and we brought it back in 98.. She still runs like an champ, no problems what so ever.

But we opted for Lcd's though, so far.. I love it. We have 2 Samsung's and they are amazing.

What burnt out on the TV?
