SCRunner's Build Thread

Rob dude those projectors are sweet. Im so jelly of that light output! All my girl does is b*itch about my terrible stock lights. Haha

I will definitely add your thread to my folder of retrofit threads to use when the time comes. The black and red scheme looks great with those black housings too!

Thanks again, I appreciate it. My Finace is blind, but won't get contacts or update her glasses and was recently complaining about her light output in her Jeep. She hasn't driven in mine yet, but she probably won't notice a difference anyways...women.

I really like the black now, but my clear corners are starting to bug me. Might have to fix that this weekend.

Looks sweet, I wish I had some retro's. Doesn't everybody? :)

Do it! It's not that expensive and not that bad of a project.

I'll have my others ones done by then, and you wont have to worry about the hell it takes to make your first set lol... promise...

Do it Rip! Although it'd be kind of cool to see Thundercloud bowls and shrouds.

When are you starting your new on TRD?

can i baby sit your daughter for the retrofit? :D

Haha, the Fiance would love that one. How can I explain my 20 year old Asian friend wants to watch our daughter for car parts.

creeeeeeep hahaha

hey i was a professional babysitter you know

People trust you with their kids?

Just makes the red look that much better. Nice contrast with the colour matched grille.

That light output is insane. Definitely gotta do this one.

I may be starting my second set real soon. After seeing yours, I really want to dive in to this. I've got these crazy ideas that's going to make it a pretty big project. but I'm hoping i can get er done.
So yeah, I almost have my truck paid off, I'm waiting to see if I win this sales competition at work, and if so, then I'll be able to pay my truck off and get on this project rollin!

Took a trip out to Hollister Hills with crazydubman (Todd), SantaCruzRunner (Andrew) and JadaTheRotweiller (John). I had a blast and got to really test out the new SAW's and using my front sway bar endlinks that are on the back. The SAW's were smooth and flexed great. The longer endlinks were extremely useful and allowed the back to flex really well. I highly recommend others to pick up longer links.

Looks like a good time. Getting those corner lights changed out is going to put the finishing touch on your front end, for sure. I'd consider some tint on the blinker lenses too.

I plan on tinting my turns a bit and I'm in the works of getting some JDM black corners. I'm still tempted to try and open up my clear corners and paint them, but I'm not sure if it's possible without destroying them. I'd prefer this as they don't have the orange like the JDM corners. I have some 5000k LED's coming in for the corners as well as the stock bulb does not match.

Looks like fun.

Dude, I think I've got an idea for your next project... That has to be the first time I've seen your roof rack... Paint it to match your flares and cladding, lol.

Haha, I was thinking about it, but got lazy. I think I'll put it off and the rear spoiler and freshen them up next weekend if it's not raining.

In other updates I got some 5000k LED's for my corner lights. Matches the headlight perfectly and I should be getting some black corner lights this week. Might tint the front turn signal as well. I'm starting to save up for my s/c though, should have around $500 or more by the end of the month.

Damn, Im gone for a couple months and see your runner with all these updates! I wanna see how the tinted turn signals come out. Im thinking about doin the same thing. Lookin great!

cool runner man! let me know if you do want those corners, im meeting with Eric probably on wed to sell him my oem corners so I can give him yours too so you dont have to pay shipping or something if you guys meet up often :fro:

Looking good! Your rig has come a long way! Now you need to update your sig pic.

Thanks, I want to update my sig pic, but I have to put the finishing touches on the front end and get some good pics. Once the new corners and turns are done I'll get some good ones.

Haha thanks. I wasn't really planning on getting some of the projects done, but things worked out. I was hoping to tint the turns today, but couldn't get to the store before my daughter went down for her nap. Hopefully this week I'll have them done.

Thanks a lot! Yeah I definitely want those corners. You should probably just ship them as I won't see Eric for a while. I'll shoot you a PM.

I got five on it.
:pimp:
Nice glad to see you got them, they look great!

Thanks, wasn't sure if I was going to get them, but it worked out in the end.

I thought he sold them out from under you?

Btw I have the same set of cresent tools.. just sayin. Haha

He did, but his friend had to get the money together, while I had cash in hand. I ended up having to pay a little more for them because of this, but it should be worth it in the end. Funny thing is when I got there I looked at his 4runner and instantly recognized it. It was Sierra Summits on the forum. Freaking small world and ended up talking to him for a while about lifts. I'll probably help him put his on when he gets everything.

I really like that cresent set. Not the most durable tools as I've bent a couple of the wrenches openings while taking off bolts, but it has everything I need. It always stays in my 4runner in case I ever need it.

Sweet man!! Got tired of the SAWs? What's the specs on these?

Didn't get tired of the SAW's, but more of stumbled upon these for a great price. Every since I had issues with the bushings that one time wheeling I was a little dissapointed in them. I'm 90% sure it was simply because of the worn bushings, but I was just a bit annoyed and hesitant. They've worked perfectly since though and no issues otherwise.

The hoe's have around 20k on them according to Sierra and the condition shows it. They are 2.5's with 650 lb coils, pretty identical to your SAW's. One of the main reasons I went with these is they are able to be converted to extended length and I could add a resi if I wanted. I plan on getting some UCA's in the future to bring my alignment into spec and also to gain the extra travel. Once I rebuild these (probably next summer or winter) I will extend them and become mid travel. Plus everything I've read about them is great reviews so I figured I might as well. Should have them in tomorrow or definitely this weekend.
