Because it's harder to machine a fake bolt head than it is to drill and tap.

Suppose so, guess I thought it would be cheaper to have those fake bolts be a part of the mold altogether. No machining required.

I don't know what kind of process SCS uses on their wheels. I guess it's possible they are cast. I'm assuming these are made in China. The Chinese definitely have the capability to produce wheels by rotary forge, forging, flow forming, and pressure casting. It's just a matter of what we want to spend in the process.

It's definitely possible. Mickey Thompson does it with their classic lock wheel. But it also raises the cost.

16x8 - $165/ea.
17x8.5 - $185/ea.

Available finish:
- matte jet black
- matte gunmetal
- matte bronze
- matte brown/root beer <--- We don't have an official name for this finish yet.

The "ring" area will be gloss black and the screws will be gold.

The good news is that the first SR8 sample will be here mid January. The bad news is that I will not be here when it does arrive. SCS will be closed from Jan. 14th to Feb. 3rd. We're going to take a well needed vacation.
If everything goes as planned, the SR8 should be ready for sale by late March.

The group buy will start a couple of weeks before the shipment arrival so get ready for it if you're interested. This will be a one time deal so don't miss out.

I am really interested in your stealth 6 for my 3rd gen but I think the SR8's will look better (and they come in 16's). Please let me know so I don't regret ordering a different wheel when the SR8's would look better.

When the group buy starts, I don't think that we'll have enough time to do a photoshoot on all the different gen 4Runners and Tacomas. We will have photos of just the wheels by itself so you're going to have to use your imagination.

If you want to take advantage of the GB deal, you'll have to be able to take a little risk. I'm confident that they'll sweet, but then again, any of our wheels will look nice on a 4Runner.

We can accept returns as long as tires were never mounted on them and the wheels were never used in any way. The buyer will be responsible for all return shipping.

If you're unsure, I suggest you just wait until you see the real deal and make up your mind then. The last thing that we want is for someone to order them and not be completely happy with the wheels.
