I just did this to mine last week. Here's what I did:
I put 1/3 can of Sea Foam in my crankcase. 1/3 in my fuel tank. And the other 1/3 into my throttle body via the vacuum hose shown on the pic below.
Adding to the crankcase (oil fill) and the fuel tank (fuel fill) is self explanatory. When you add the Sea Foam to the throttle body, follow these steps:
1. Put Sea Foam in a styrofoam or plastic cup.
2. Start engine
3. Pull the vacuum hose off (see below pic)
4. Insert vacuum hose into cup and it will suck the Sea Foam into the throttle body
5. Once cup is empty, quickly replace the vacuum hose and kill the engine
6. Wait 5-10 minutes, re-start engine and go for a drive until it stops smoking
***Important to know***
* When vacuum hose is sucking Sea Foam, you may hear the engine starving for air. When this happens, just lift the vacuum hose out of the Sea Foam until stabilized. Then re-insert. Otherwise, you will kill the engine.
* She's going to smoke.....a lot. But should clear up after 2-3 miles.
* Please note, I DID NOT introduce throttle body cleaner in mine. I'd imagine you could do it the same way, but I cannot speak to the process/results.
It's pretty simple. I let the Sea Foam stay in my crankcase for 100 miles, and then changed the oil.
