Its good stuff use 1/3 of can in vacume hose that goes to the brake booster warm up engine pour in 1/3 can slowly then cut off and let sit for 5 min, crank back up and give it some gas it will smoke like crazy.
Then use 1/3 can in with oil and 1/3 in gas run a few hundred miles and change the oil!
a little in the brake booster hose and I could definately tell a difference in my runners running characteristics, took the slight hesitation it had out and it idles better too. I run a can through every other time i change the oil
I've run it through the brake booster a few times and haven't had to change the plugs.
I am always a little nervous when I seafoam the engine though. I'm afraid someone is going to call the fire dept or cops when they see all that smoke. Hard to find a low density population area here in So Cal. LOL
I'm gonna give it a try today. My engine runs great but, I was thinking it couldnt hurt. Hopefully my neighbors don't freak out:wow2:. Any tips from people that have done this on a 3vze?
Make sure your engine is warmed up. Pour it slowly through the brake booster line. You really don't need a funnel. Just slowly and stop if the engine starts to bog down. As soon as you see smoke coming out the tailpipe, shut the engine off. I let it set for about 15-20 minutes, then crank it back up.
Let it run until the smoke clears, then drive it a few miles.
In the gas tank, yes. Not in the oil yet. I have to time it with an oil change. You want to put it in the oil when you're within about 200 miles of your next oil change.
I saw somewhere where a guy went to the extremes and poured a few bottles in his gas tank. Not sure if that's good or bad.
I too just recently did this to my 95 t4r...have always used in all my vehicles...mainly because I like watching all the white smoke that pours out of the tail pipe...lol. I think it does work pretty good, have used it in the gas tank, oil and through the brake booster as everyone else has mentioned.
I just used it off brake booster to get it in the manifold and in the combustion chamber. My T4R sat for about 3 years before I bought it, so I changed the oil with some cheapy stuff, ran it in for about 2 weeks, Seafoamed it twice in a night, changed the plugs, and it runs MUCH better.
It really is great stuff. Although some people somehow think it is going to add power to your motor. It just cleans. I love seeing peoples reactions when I start it back up
