It may die. When I am doing it when it starts to sputter really hard I just plug it with my thumb for a second or two and let it catch its breath.
If you have someone to help you, you could have them give it a tiny bit of gas when it sputters to help it stay alive. ( I would not go over 2k RPM when doing it)
Make sure you introduce it to the hose slowly. Too much at once and it will die very quickly.

You are actually supposed to shut the engine down by flooding it with seafoam. This ensures that the max amount of seafoam is left in the cylinders and can do it's work to clean them. Pour slow enough to not shut is down until you have sucked half the can, then dump it as fast as you can and try to shut it down. I havn't been able to shut it down by flooding. It struggles alot, but hangs in there

Has anyone done a before and after check of the plugs and o2 when running Seafoam? I heard this stuff fouls out plugs and sensors sometimes....

I know that people recommend changing the spark plugs afterward. Haven't heard anything about whether or not it affects the o2 sensors, but it can't be a good thing for them.
Has anyone since a noticeable increase in fuel efficiency after seafoam?

I just seafoamed mine and yes it smokes and the truck does idle smoother (I have 196432m on my 03) I changed the oil and did not change my spark plugs I did inspect them and no fouling. I recommend it for anyone who wants to have a smoother idle and better gas milieage. I used 1/2 a bottle. I poured the rest in the tank. I used the hose that is coming off the idle air valve to enter into the engine. Took about 30mins to do. I also have a obd2 reader and no hidden codes or pending codes. So I assume it has no effect on the O2 sensors. I have used seafoam on my nissan maxima and pontiac grand am and both benefitted from it with no problems.

I did mine about 2 months ago and no fouling of plugs or the O2s occurred. My idle has stayed in the correct range since Seafoaming it. I can't speak to the MPGs though. I put synthetic gear oil and engine oil in at the same and did the deckplate mod. So my MPGs are up, but probably because of all the other stuff.
