seafoaming didn't go as expected

so after reading all these wonderful stories about seafoam i bought a bottle last night and this morning i put half in my gas tank then ran a 1/4 of it through a line that fed into the intake tube right in front of the throttle body. i poured in slowly with the engine at about 2500 rpms and let it sit for ten minutes after, but when i started it up.. no white clouds of smoke! i took it onto the highway and rumped on the gas and still nothing... now looking at other peoples threads i realized they were using the hose from the pcv valve.

did i mess it up by pouring it into the wrong hose?

theres a picture with the correct hose on here somewhere, use the search function to find it.

but when i did mine i barely had any smoke at all, just means it was cleaner then others...
