Seat Belt - Anyone had this issue?

Passenger seat belt will often (~30-40% of the time) lock when being pulled out. Always locks in the same position (after being pulled out ~2 feet when trying to buckle in). Doesn't matter if you pull it slow or fast. Doesn't matter what gear I'm in, or if brakes are applied or not. ~70% of the time, if you try it later, it'll work. I've taken the assembly out to try and clean, but it is an enclosed unit. While I had it out, I shook it up to try and loosen anything that might be stuck, and re-installed but still having same issue. It's not covered under recall or warranty (I checked). Any suggestions?

I had this on my drivers side 3rd row. i took it apart, rolled it all the way out and hit it with some pb blaster. Seemed to work.

Just a word of warning if anyone does this with PB Blaster, it's very good stuff...but MAN does it smell awful, I use it to spray by back door hinges to stop them from squeaking about 3 months ago and I can still smell that awful smell, just not as bad as it was the first few weeks after spraying the hinges!!!!

From now on the PB Blaser is only for exterior use, I will find something else for inside use, when I bought the PB Blaster I did see they make several different versions, does anyone know if they all smell as bad as the original PB Blaster??

You are very correct. All I have was pb at the time. Since then I have picked up some wd40.

Since we are talking seat belts...

I need to replace my driver side, rear seat belt on my 04 SR5. Impossible to find used. Does anyone know what years are compatible? Are all 4th gens compatible with each other?
