Seat Covers - Wet Okole vs Cover King

I have Wet Okole in my yellow XTerra and had ridden on the Cover King from Costco. There is a $100 difference, the Wet O's are thicker and breathe a lot better(less sweaty thighs : ) Top that with the more color options and I think the price difference is worth it

I got the Coverking seat covers late this afternoon and they're going back to Costco tomorrow.

If the Okoles are thicker than the Coverkings, I might have to pass on them too.

The Coverkings were a pain in the arse to get to fit halfway decent on the driver's seat.

Plus there was some stitching already ripping out from the factory.

I paid 36K for the 4Runner and I'm going to be damned if I put this type of second rate accessory in my vehicle.

I should have no problem tomorrow with Costco but I am disappointed as I wanted better quality than I received.

The Wet O's fit perfect on my XTerra. No stitching problems after 4 years of service in my truck. The yellow material has some dirt stains on it, but what the heck, they are yellow! The first time installing them, they were a tight fit, but you do want that. What helps, park the covers in the sun for a while to soften the material up a lot. This will make them a bit more stretchy and easier to work with

With the cleaning kit, the Okoles deliverd will be $270.00

All black with the Okole 'flame' logo in red.

Approx three weeks for delivery.

Denver huh? I'll be in Denver the first week of July for our bike motorcycle "Ride In" We gather at the South end of Denver, like Aurora maybe rt25 and 88 at the La Quinta hotel. We had over 250 bikes there last year, rode around the mountains for 4 days. Have a great time, and I have had the largest steak that steakhouse right next door to the hotel. Some 72oz T-bone... mmmmmmmmm steak

72 oz steak... you solo? Not me, as I could split that with three other guys, easily!

I've climbed all the 14ers and many of the technical 13ers.

The 4Runner will get me to the trailheads and backcountry roads, smoothly and comfortably.

Just to add to the mix here, I just got our 4R last night after having Katzkin leather seats put in. Wow, comfy/warm and look great. I will be tossing my black&yellow Wet O's in favor of getting the Katzkins put in the XTerra soon.

Re: More foam needed

I also find it difficult to be comfortable in the stock seats (Sport Edition - Cloth) for very long. The drivers seat seems better than the passenger side - raising it up helps.

I plan to add some 2- 3 inch thick foam sheets under the seat covers down in the valley between the side bolsters to try and flatten the seats out and make them softer, and a little bit higher. I really hope this helps!

I had an upholstry shop shave off a few inches of the side bolsters on the driver's side. This helped a bunch however my back is still in knots half the time. It feels like something is sticking me in the back and it is not the frame it is between the bolsters and the middle panel of cloth. I need to make the seat even more flat and more padded. Any suggestions?

How much did those set you back?

We got them as a dealer installed option so they would be covered with the truck. They are heated in the front and all leather front and back seats that added $1600 to our cost installed. Every time we get in the truck we feel it was worth it

I'll be getting an '07 4Runner in a few days, with the 3rd row of seats. Do any of these companies make covers for the 3rd row also?

TinyUniverse or anyone with either of the two seat covers. How do the covers affect the side bolsters? I put custom seat covers made out of a different material (like a backpack) on my '01 and found that they pulled the sides in just enough on the seat back to make them uncomfortable. I finally took them off to clean and they have never gone back on.

I'm getting ready to buy an '07 to go along with the '01 and would like to put something on the seats if possible.

The Wet Okole fit the stock seat without distorting anything. My side bolsters are fine on my XTerra, and the Katzkin leather on my 4R is very nice and the sides are just as nice in feel

I got my pair of Wet Okoles, solid black, blazing red Okole symbol, on the two front seats of the 4Runner Sport and these fit like a dream!

100% better than the ones through Costco of which I received a full refund.

Took a friend and me one hour for the complete install.

They should, I got head rest covers when I ordered from Wet O for my XTerra

Do you lose the cupholder thingy that slides out of the rear arm rest when you put the Wet O's on? I know you lose the map pockets on the back of the front seats. Just wondering!

No, you don't lose the cup holder. There's a hole in the cover that allows it to slide out. As you can see in my photos, you don't lose the pockets in the back of the seats either if you add that to your order for a nominal additional fee.

Headrest covers come with it.

Someone mentioned that the Wet O's have better foam padding built in. My stock SE seats are not particularly comfortable on long trips. Have you noticed more comfort with these?
