Seat Covers - Wet Okole vs Cover King

I got my pair of Wet Okoles, solid black, blazing red Okole symbol, on the two front seats of the 4Runner Sport and these fit like a dream!

100% better than the ones through Costco of which I received a full refund.

Took a friend and me one hour for the complete install.

Are any of you guys using the wet okole's on top of leather seats?? I've had my 4runner for a little over a year and the drivers side seat is starting to look a little worn...I know some of you will say "why would you want to cover up your leather" but I'm always thinking about resale and I want to have the original seats in good condition when I do eventually sell it.

I will probably buy the all light gray Wet O's for at least my front seats as long as I receive some positive feedback here. I just want to make sure the Wet O's won't damage my original leather seats.

EDIT: that price from autoanything isn't for the all gray version so I guess I'll have to buy directly from wet o if i don't want the black panels.

Hey Guys

I live in South Texas and it gets easily over a hundred in the summer, how hot do Wet O's get in the summer, I would have black with grey inserts?

Any advice on piping?

Seat Covers

Put my Wet Okole covers on today. Looks nice! I had these on my last truck and loved them. As a surfer, they are a must.

Those covers look good enough for me to consider a non-leather interior 4runner.

Care to share the model numbers and total cost..?

Front seat covers are item# 0380 and the rear seat covers are item# 0381.

I bought new from Wet Okole when I got them for my Ranger and paid $269 + tax and shipping for just the front bucket seats.

When I bought my 4Runner I checked eBay and lucked out on the set of spotless used ones (as seen in my photos) for $269.99 including shipping for front and rear seats. Saved nearly 50%!

coverking problem

I ordered Coverking seat covers through Costco
for front and middle row of my 4Runner (with 3rd row seats). There are some minor problems with the front seat covers but the cover for the 60% rear back was completely wrong--could not be installed at all because of the pattern around the fold down arm rest. I sent them pictures and they acknowledged the problem and are redoing them. Customer service is good, so I'm not knocking them, just giving a heads-up.

Any of you guys with Wet Okoles have a dog that sheds? Curious how neoprene works with dog hair.....the cloth seats are proving very hard to keep dog hair free even when they are way in the back...is neoprene act similar to leather (I have always had leather in my jeeps before)? or is there some crazy static action with neoprene that would still make it hard to wipe the dog hair away?

I have a Jack Russell Terrier / Chihuahua mix that sheds more than any dog I've ever known. Clean up is 1000x easier with wet okole covers than with cloth. There are only a few stray hairs that get stuck in the neoprene that I have to pick out.

I got black with red piping. They aren't ready yet, but should hopefully be installed next week. I went down to the Wet Okole dealership in Costa Mesa with the intention of just getting a dark/light grey combo that would match the interior of our 4R. But when we arrived they had these really cool black ones with yellow piping. My wife and son thought that red piping would be best for us. So that's what we ordered.

I'll post photos after we get them installed . Send me a reminder if I forget.

And for what it is worth, maybe everyone knew this, there is a gallary on the wetokole website, there are about 15 photos of intalls in 4Runners in the gallery, including an all black photo..

well maybe not in the 4Runner, looks like a taco, photos are labeled half azz

The pictures on their site are mostly the black & charcoal. I called to order mine this week thinking it was the light gray, but I wanted to double check. They told me they were the charcoal as indicated by the '11' in the keywords.

I have a Sport also... can you post up some pictures when you get a chance ?

I'd like to see how the all Black looks in a Sport. The photos on the web site are not that great.

I'm thinking of getting either all Black or Black and Charcoal. I've ordered some swatches but it will be a while I'm sure.

I ordered some swatches and they came in about 4 days, so they come pretty quick. They are just 1" by 1" samples they send in a regular letter in the mail. I ordered the light gray (21) and charcoal (11) swatches to see how they looked. I will definitely be ordering the black with charcoal (11) for myself. The light gray was too light.

I received a package today

The seat covers look very nice. I ordered the standard black with the charcoal (11) inside panels. Overall, I would say both the black and the charcoal look darker than the pictures you see on the web; yet lighter than the color swatches on their online order form. There are so many variables with images on the web and camera exposure that the only way you will truly know the colors is to order swatches. I was told by Wet Okole that the light gray is closer to a silver for what its worth.

If you go to www.wetokole.com and view their gallery, picture #9648-11 is the closest representation of the colors with my eyes and monitor calibration. I would say TinyUniverse
