Seat Covers

I would like to just put some well fitting seat covers in my runner instead of buying all new seats. Does anyone know where to get some GOOD seatcovers that dont cost 400-600 bucks? I have looked at Wet okole (sp?) and those run about $580.00 which seems a bit much to me. I want a custom "fitted" look, not the walmart "throw a sheet over it" look, if that makes sence. Or perhaps just get the reupholstered?

Thanks!

Katzkin is a really good company, used to install these for my part-time job in high school, but I think they run pretty high. Might try on Ebay, not sure what the quality is like though.

I have a feeling if you want quality it isn't going to come cheap. I need to get my driver seat redone.

Maybe you could go to a junk yard and see if they have some seats that you just buy.

i just got a front set of wet okoles as a gift, and they are awesome. if you are going to keep the rig for awhile they may be worth it.... now i have to save up for the back seat. for what it's worth.

I bought GT Covers for my fronts. Ran me about 240, I think the backs were around the same price. I agree that if you are going to keep your runner, the price is well worth it.

Clemsonfan, here in western Canada where I live the dealerships are so desperate to sell cars nowadays that the offer custom leather reupholstering via outsourcing. maybe your local dealers have the same availability. A brand new avalanche(not for me!!!) redone with custom insignia was like $1500-$2000 for all seats(front buckets and rear like ours)I think that if you love your toy, thats cheaper than new seats etc.
Just my two cents.

To the OP if you are interested PM me, I have a full set of the old Performance Products vinyl seat covers in the tan and brown two tone pattern. I kept them when I wrecked my 00 but I now have an 02 w/ the grey interior and don't see myself ever using them. They are in real good shape I used them for a year or so before I bought a full limited interior for the 00, they have been in the attic since. There is a small tear on the drivers side where you slip in and out as my seats were base and these are for the SR5, thus there was less bolstering in mine, I never take passengers so the right and rears are perfect. They even come with a cut out for the manual lumbar and covers for all headrests and pouches behind the seats. They fit very well with zippers and velcro and once in look stock, I had people ask where I got the leather. If interested I'll bring them down and snap a few pictures.
IIRC they were around $400 brand new, but make me a decent offer and I'm sure I'd let them go.

I've been thinking of getting good seat covers. I don't know if I should get Wet Okoles or Coverkings. I want a set that fits the seat perfectly without coming off everytime I get in and out (like the crappy walmart ones) I would also want them to be easy to install.
