No doubt, many seat heaters can be found on Ebay, Amazon etc. But, what I really need to know is whether or not the thumbwheel fits into the switch blanks that already exist in the vehicles that aren't equipped with factory bun warmers.

I bought this kit of ebay and installed them last November. The switches fit into the blanks in the center console (next to DAC) with just slight modification. Seats get hot within 2 min and the switches have an orange/amber led light on them to indicate they're on.

Holy cow, those switches fit perfectly. I wonder if all vendors use the same size switches for their bun warmers!
 
From my understanding, Rostra are the OEM for Toyota seat heaters. I heard this after I had installed the Rostra units on my 4R.

My bro also created custom printed switch plates for the round switches.

I was initially worried about the heat coming up through the foam on the Clazzio seat covers, but they get toasty warm pretty quickly.

alia176 - I'm in the process of installing the Rostra heaters (p/n 250-1872) with the dual 5-position dial this week. I'll post pictures of the switch installed in the center console when I'm done.

Does anyone know the best place to tap into for the switch illumination (I assume)?

Per instructions "Yellow Wire - Connect Headlight / Night Lamp +12 Volts - 5 Amp circuit"

The most likely reason no one has the dial switches is because they (Rostra) won't fit in the stock 3 middle holes in the console. 4Rs with the factory heaters have two holes on either side of the middle switch holes.

Cool, I just ordered the same set too. Once I take the seat out, I'll be replacing both foams, new seat heater and a new inflatable lumber from Rostra as well.

Very good point!
 
I took some pictures of modifications I had to make to the hole in the console to fit the Rostra Dual Dial Switch. Basically, I had to square off the corners and cutoff the lower part of the hole where it gets smaller. The the switch fits nice and snug now.

I would prefer to have independent switches for left and right seats. I see on Rostra's website that they do not offer that option. Does that mean I have to buy two single seat kits? Anyone know?

So far I have had no issues with the ebay kit I bought last fall. The switches work well and seem to be solid. I haven't noticed any bleeding through but I have SE with black/dark gray cloth seats.
