Seat heaters not working

It dropped below 50 degrees here in San Diego recently so I decided to try my seat warmers for the first time.:lmao:

No heat...

Troubleshooting:
1) Switch lights up (both).
2) Fuse (under hood) looks good.

Anything else I'm missing?

just to be clear, were you sitting in the seat?

they use a pressure sensor, and will not heat up unless someone is sitting there.

Bump, any thoughts? My butt has been frigid:smow::smow:

I imagine the next step is to break out the ol' voltmeter and check the heating elements; I would be surprised if BOTH are bad though.

Frigid butt in San Diego is definitely a first world problem. You said the fuse "looked good." I've run across lots of fuses that looked good but were blown so try a new fuse before anything else. But why would they light up...What do I know though since my '08 did not come with heated seats...

I need help.
I have an 08 4Runner Sport Edition. Checked fuse for seat heaters, it is still good. Neither seat heats up.

What should I do next?
Any advice as to what I can do to fix this? I have a hard time believing the seat heaters have gone bad.
