Leather or clothes seats: what do you prefer (or want) and why?

I have a limited with leather seats, but the driver’s seat is broken and hurting my back.
The leather is easy to clean and I’m not worried if I am dirty (from hiking or camping) when I get in since I can just wipe them clean. However, they get hot in the summer, and are cold in the winter, plus it sounds like they have a history of cracking. I don’t care if the seats are manual or auto because I don’t use that function after it’s adjusted.

If I get the cloth seats I could get cheap seat covers to protect them, but they won’t look as clean as the stock leather (and I don’t want to shell out for the nice seat covers), and they breathe and aren’t as hot or cold as the leather…

I would love to hear people’s opinions on leather vs cloth seats!

My 00 has the SR5 Sport cloth seats. I just bought a full set of leather seats out of a limited. My plan is to add seat heaters, and then I'll have to wire up power for the limited seats, but that'll be easy.

My ultimate goal is to rock the cloth seats in the summer, and the leather's in the winter months.
