Seat wear/foam particles along floor

So along the base of the drivers seat I am seeing a consistent dispersion of what appears to be small foam particles as if the seat or some foam like portion of it is wearing. The seat is firm everywhere and like it always has been. I will clean the floor and a few weeks later I will see it again. Anyone else seeing this? It does not look like normal dirt, dust or lint etc.

Looks like the foam is deteriorating, like if you leave it out in the sun and the uv rays eat it up.
