seating options..

Hey guys, so here's my problem. I'm tall, 6 foot 4ish and it's not all that comfortable getting in and exiting the 4runner, and it's even worse for my dad who had neck surgery and doesn't have full motion in his neck anymore.

I'm looking for a solution to lower the seats and possibly move them rearward a couple inches. Or for a new pair of seats that are lower profile but retain the creature comforts of reclining etc.
Do you guys know of any solutions to this?? Or brands of aftermarket seating solutions?

Its a 98 limited, leather fully automatic seats.

I'm not sure if this is much help, but at 6'2" (tall torso) I had to exclude limiteds from my options. The combination of the taller/power seats and the lower roof from the sunroof meant that I had about 1/2" of clearance between my head and the roof. You might consider a seat swap with SR5 seats to lower them down a bit. There's been a bit of discussion about making the rails go back a bit further, but I think it was deemed a pretty terrible idea.

I'm about 6'3" and also found the cockpit a bit small. From my research the integra GSR seats fit well so I found a used up one on craigslist and fabed up some new brackets and welded them on, allowing the seat to move back several inches further. I now have a WAY more comfortable seat(even though this seat is all torn up) with more leg room than I need. The new seat also sits an inch or two lower, which works great for me. It made it tolerable for longer drives. This is my quick and dirty temp fix until I find a nice pair of cloth integra seats in good condition and make some better mounting brackets.

Around what year/generation of integra? I wouldn't think it would matter all that much but just as a reference.
I would think there's room to move the seat rails down a bit.? Or does it get hung up on the interior portions?

7th gen Celica seats are lower. The rear mounts are the same (outer one needs spacers), but the front ones will need some bending. I was about to buy some for my 4Runner, but they sold.

I believe they are all the same from mid 1990's to early 2000's. There is room to move it down another inch or two but it's already an inch or two lower and i wouldn't think you'd want it any lower. The celica seats look interesting but that would only get you lower, not more leg room so you'd have to weld something up either way.
