Seats

So I want to remove the two front seats. I want to do some wiring for my amp under the carpet. I have an 05 and from the looks of it I don't have any airbags in the seat. I want to know if the cables under the seat can be removed.

There is a tag on the cable that says calibrated material consult repair man. For more info.

When you disconnect the seats the occupant classification ecu loses its calibration. Dealer will charge an hour to recalibrate. I dont know of any aftermarket shop that has the software to recalibrate.

what i did was this, unbolt the seat, lift it up and recline it to the back and use a strap to hold it in place so it dont fall on u, and run wires and connect all the amp wires together, theres a bolt under the carpet behind the front fram hump thing u can use that as a ground bolt, should have 2 wires bolted there from factory, and then ureinstall the seat and everything should work correctly.

So it is ok to unbolt the ground wires? That will not mess up the calibration of the seats? I'm going to start this tomorrow and I'm putting one amp under each seat. What did you do about the vents?

i just cut 2 2 inch by 2 inch blocks , mdf that was 3/4 thick and use that on the back part of the amp so it have some room under for the vents and enough clarence for the seat to be fully down position too. take ur time and do it nice, i also wrap the blocks with some carpet so it look sexy too.
