The v6 brakes are plenty good enough to do the job. Getting a nice set of slotted rotors and some new pads and you will be fine.

I wish i had a friend giving me tires :flipoff:

I forget which years they upgraded the brakes but if you don't have these you could
1. Upgrade your calipers to the bigger 4piston ones
2. 1" bore master cylinder
3. New vented rotors
4. Good set of pads

He already has the four large piston calipers, they're standard on V6 trucks.

Vented rotors are standard on IFS trucks.
