Secondary air injection P0418 and P2445 Anyone replaced pump with GM unit?

I've searched this forum and haven't been able to find anyone with a 4runner who has replaced the faulty air pump with a GM replacement pump.
On the Tundra and Lexus forums it seems to have works for many people but I was just curious if anyone here has done it with success?

I believe the part number I would need is Dorman 306-010

I would just do the bypass but it seems if you have the p0418 code that the bypass will not get rid of the check engine and VSC Traction control lights.
I can easily do the labor myself so if i can fix this for $100 that would be great!

Well there are NO toyotas in junkyards around here so thats not an option and I would hate to buy a junkyard one offline being as they all seem to fail around 100-150k miles and I wont have anyway to know if its gonna be good or not.

Just install the bypass......if the vales are stuck open, install the plates too.

The p0418 cannot be cleared by the block off or the by pass from what I've read?

Fixed today with Dorman 306-010 Air pump for a 2000 pontiac grand prix 3.8
Also replaced the intake gaskets while I had it off so I knew it would seal back up good.
Cleared codes and now works PERFECT, everything including gaskets was around $150 at Oreillys and it took about 3 hours total.
For most people Id say 4 hours would be plenty of time to complete this.
Everything is plug and play
The hose Im pointing at was dry and cracked I replaced it with 3/4 heater hose

And the hole that is open that the pump sucks from I covered with wire mesh used to screen porches and put a hose clamp on it to prevent any large debris from entering it witch I found was what cause my pump motor to fail the first time (mice).

The wiring is the ONLY difference, you can simply unplug your harness from your old pump motor and plug it right in to the new one.

Also no special tools are required, basic hand tools will get the job done.
The only thing some people might not have is a T25 torx bit that you will need to remove the pump cover and swap to the new pump.
