I did mine a while back when I had an aftermarket muffler and already removed the rear resonator. From what I remember- Sounds sick on startup (louder), noticeable increase of drone, noticeable increase in loudness overall. I don't regret mine, I still have a relatively large muffler and built-in resonator. (Dirty Deeds)

Get ready for a TON of drone. I had his exact same setup minus the CAI and I couldn't stand it. Way way WAY to loud on the freeway. I also had to use eliminators for the rear 02's. I then put two small glasspacks where the rear cats were and it helped a little. I then swapped out the Magnaflow for a Walker Quiet Flow. Is MUCH quieter now and still feel plenty of the power even though the Walker isn't a straight thru. And NO drone.

The drone is known to come from the Magnaflow mufflers.... better off going with something like a Gibson or Dirty Deeds.

I was going to go with a Borla as they are known for being quiet, but I'm 2.5" thru a custom Y to a 3" so I didn't want to keep throwing mufflers at it. I picked the quietest based on reviews and put it on. If it ever goes since the Walkers don't seem to last long I'll try a Borla or Gibson.

I used to drive a straight pipped Camaro so I don't mind the drone haha, I've never really been bothered by it. If it is too much for me though, I might look into some glass packs. I have some here at home that are a no name brand but figure they'll do the job if needed

That's interesting you needed eliminators for the rear o2 sensor. I had a code but it was because one if my front o2 sensors was bad. I looked at your post history and see that was your same experience. When did the eliminators come in?

Ya know...I didn't know if I needed them or not. It's just that all the post I read is that if you run high flow cats, which I am, is that you need these. Was the same back in my Audi days. Gut the precat's and you had to run an eliminator. I never tried running it without it. Be curious to see what happens. Maybe I'll try. My car does seem to run a little rich and I'm wondering being farther it thinks it's getting more air which is making it run rich. What's the A/F mixture on these again? 14.7? I have Torque Pro so I can read it. Just...so many other things that need tended too! HAHA

Possibly the welds weren’t sealed tight enough which is why you got a light? I know when I took the rear cats off my old Camaro, if the welds weren’t done right and there was a leak it would cause a CEL

I never got a light. I never tried running without the eliminators. And the welds are good. I made a template so the cats were welded out of the car when I had to swap out my engine. She runs fine now and I have a long list of honey-dos on her so once i'm done with those other things I'll try it.
