See A Cop...Do You Flash On-coming Traffic?

I do it on the highways etc but not in city limits...too much traffic, intersections and other various sensory imput...on the highway all you need to do is go straight pretty much:bash: better odds in my opinion I'm more inclined to flash when the opposing vehicle is approaching a danger on or around the road like an 8FT moose for instance...I don't know, maybe its just me... anyone else?

I used to, but around here it seemed like I was the only one doing it. Mostly I don't. If someone flashes me, I'll flick my lights to an on-coming car to pay it forward (within a half mile).

I would flash oncoming traffic but my damn Silverstars keep dying on me. What's up with that???

Every 6 months I have to buy a new silverstar bulb.

Like you, i did it often at one point...however, what if that one traffic stop could have stopped a shipment of cocaine or illegal immigrants into our country?? I don't know the answer behind this question(s)...just throwing it out there. Because of this, i am not so fast with my highbeams anymore.

If it stopped one shippmet of drugs the drugs would still be out there.. Really solving nothing other than driving the price up from lack of supply. Highly doubt that..

I have gotten so many stupid tickets that yes I do it. I hate cops. Actually I rarely do it cause if forget to and when I remeber it's really too late.. This happens alot..

I'll always do it, cops take advantage of every opportunity they can get to catch us. Unfairly unmarked cars to blend in, hidden locations, being parked right after a speed limit reduction etc.

I wish more people did it, i've been saved a few times from people flashing there lights.

i got saved from a couple tickets over the last few weeks thanks to on-coming traffic warning me.

i wont flash if there is a car directly in front of me, i dont want them thinking im flashing them [even though chances are they may deserve it for driving slow] but if im the lone car in front ill warn on-coming drivers.

You ought ot see how these freaking marked cruisers are flying around here. I respect and work with law enforcement routinely in my job, but I always found it hyporcitical when I am tooling along the road going maybe 5 over and a statie, deputy, or local yokle blows by me without the lights on.

Just blows my mind sometimes - especially since the state is broke and needs to save money and I see a fleet of Crown Vics or Chargers flying by me going 80 or more.

Exactly! Somehow they are 'expertly trained' to drive fast through traffic, whenever the hell they choose to. And the rest of us Joe Blows have no clue what we're doing the moment we exceed the speed limit.
