That second ones price is pretty damn low. Mileage is pretty high and the cat is a bit pricey but still. The first one looks pretty clean. Im guessing body lift?

Definitely a low price for the '01. I would definitely go over that one with a fine tooth comb. That's a high price for the '99 though. Even though the engine was replaced, that doesn't take into account that the rest of the drivetrain has over 200k. That would definitely be a big bartering chip. I just paid $5500 for a '00 Limited 4x4 that has a dealer installed supercharger with 216,000 miles. All of the maintenance is up to date and documented. Everything is in near mint condition with the exception of the drivers seat cushion. Easy $300 fix though.

IMO the first vehicle is better, even if he didn't ACTUALLY swap the engine. Plus you get a five speed, and the lift and tires.

With replaced motor I would say its $5k maybe $6k tops, remember you don't know the history of the motor and all the bearings and bushings have 200k on them.

If it were me I would be wondering why the first one had the engine replaced at 80k? Seems a little early to be replacing an engine on a 4runner.

I do like the 99 but the price on the 01 is better if it's in good shape. The only thing I hate is if you do find one for a good deal you will still probably pay around $450 when you go to get a tag now in GA.

He said the motor was replaced 500 miles ago but now he has backed out saying he wanted to keep it because it was one of the nices 4runners he has seen. I think it was because he told me one price before he realized he wanted more.
