Seeking rear coil recommendations for my situation

I'm looking to lift my rear end by 0.5"-1" over the stock height, but I'm planning on adding about 400lbs of permanent equipment to the trunk, which is making things a bit more difficult. I was originally planning on installing spacers, but after seeing the rear sag an inch with only 200lbs of tires in my trunk, I figured I'd need too big of spacers to achieve the 0.5"-1" lift over stock after all that weight is added. So, which rear coils would work the best?

Is that something the RCC2.0 - ToyTec "Superflex" could take care of? They advertise 2" lift, but I'm guessing 400lbs would negate that completely? How accurate is the 2" figure anyway?

The heavy duty superflex version is advertised at 2.5" with a 200lbs load, but consider its higher spring rate, I think there would still be about 2" of lift at 400lbs.

Another option I see is the OME medium duty, which advertises a 2.5"-3" lift. Anyone know what the approximate spring rate of the medium duty OMEs are?

I'm in that boat now with the Superflex +10 springs. I have a pair Of Dobinsons 2" medium duty springs sitting here waiting for a wrench day. I have a 175 pound rear bumper, 80 pound cargo slide tray, and roughly 50-75 pound trunk with assorted recovery/off road gear in there. The rear is actually riding at almost factory height with that load (325+ pounds?). Unloaded it was stilted up at 2 1/2". The ride is fine and well planted, but I want my 2" lift back. Hence the Dobinsons which are recommended for 200-400 pounds constant weight. Your problem is ONLY wanting 1" of lift. You pretty much can't get that with anything but spacers. I might recommend airbags to help with the additional weight, but that won't help you with the lift department. You might look at Dobinsons long list of springs in their thread and see if they have anything that might fit your needs. They certainly seem to have a broader variety of spring options than most of the others.

Hmmm, considering you're near stock ride height at 325lbs, I could maybe install those superflex +10 springs and a 1" spacer to get the height I'm looking for with 400lbs. Besides the ride height, are you happy with the performance of the superflex +10 springs with all that weight?

I checked out the Dobinson thread and it looks like there aren't really any additional options for my scenario

Have a look at the Wheeler's coils.. minor lift options with some added coil rates should help you get close.

I would agree with CJ here. I’m running 250-300lbs more than stock and with the toytec HD rear springs I got just over 2” of lift. When I had springs just 10% stiffer it wasn’t enough for that weight. Given your desire for low lift you might research the low rise Dobinsons springs with a set of airbags. That way you get a little lift and the load carrying you desire. Just an idea.

I have 5100s in front set at 2.5 and the RCC2.0 in back and love them. Netted a hair over 2" of lift. I also have a swing out carrier on back which is only 50 extra pounds or so with the added weight of a full sized spare (I removed my factory spare underneath)

I thought about getting the HDs but after talking with ToyTec they said it would ride like garbage unless you had a constant 200lb or more rear load at all times back there to get the spring rate to what it should be. So yes...if I were you I could go with the HDs over the the normal Superflexes.
