i know i took this video rather quickly, but anywho, i've had this scraping noise when the wheel hits a certain spot in its rotation, faster i go, worse it gets, to me it sounded like the rotor rubbing on the dust shield...wasnt that, so when i yank the wheel off, this is what i found seen in the above video, i tried pushing the pads back, which worked, hit the brake pedal and came to try again and voila it was back. acts like a high spot in the rotor where it just stops dead, passenger side spins freely with slight scraping noise, which is usually normal, pads always slightly rub, but i dont think it should stop it like that. just put a new bearing on this side few weeks ago as well, but not sure it would make a difference. thanks for any input!

Warped rotor. You can take it off and get it resurfaced if you want, but if you are not getting a vibration when you brake, don't worry about it.

no vibration when braking. just the annoying noise when i have my window down...might just throw on new brakes up front, dont cost me much

It is the rotor that makes the noise. The pads don't move. Unless it is a sensor that is touching letting you know your pads are less near the end of life, you are wasting your money.

pads do move matter of fact, thats how it stops. now in context, i said when i removed the caliper, noise quit, pushed back the pads into the caliper and put caliper back, still no noise. hit the brake pedal, making the pads move flush to the rotor, noise started once again.

I was referring to your video. The pads are not moving, the rotor is. Of course the noise went away when you removed the caliper and probably wouldn't be there when you put them back until you stepped on the brakes. the high spot on the rotor isn't that high. The pads don't sit against the rotors. They are close. If they sat against the rotors, they would burn up like what happens when your piston sticks in your caliper.

I will always be amazed at people who don't know what they are talking about question those that do.

the pads rest against the rotor, not with pressure, but rest, slight amount of drag will always be there....i will always be amazed you dont know that. but i do appreciate your input! thanks :D
