Selling my '01 SR5 2wd...Need help with price!

What kind of price should I list it at??????

and it looks IDENTICAL to this pic off the net (even the same tires). I mean, I almost think this one is mine. I don't have a pic of mine right now becasue it has been raining like CRAZY here. Going to give it a bath tonight though as the rain just quit. :)

Anyway, has 143k miles on it. Had new brakes (pads and rotors) on it 15k ago. 3 new wheel bearings last summer and new shocks all around (new struts too) earlier this summer. Anyway, everything works just as it should and it drives great and is very sound. I just don't know what price to list it at. :wow: There is such a large price range on 2001 4runners that I can't decide.

Anyway, what ballpark would ya'll list it at???

I have it listed at one place (waiting to put it on CL till it got a bath) but I listed it on one place locally at $7500obo so I'm not too far off.

You might have trouble selling it for that price without 4wd. I'm not sure about your area, but in my area it is very hard to sell a 4Runner without 4wd unless you price it really low compared to market prices.

Yeah I doubt I can sell it for $7500, but I'm thinking I can sell it in the mid 6k range. Based on the prices of other 2wd runners within 300 miles of my area (on autotrader.com), I think I am about right. Some are really high but about the lowest I saw them listed was $6900 and that was for base model.

Are 4wd 4Runners common in your area? I know that some area they are and other areas they are not. Last time I was in Florida, it seemed like every 4Runner I saw was 2wd. Then again, I didn't see a lot of 4Runners, but they were around.

Anyway, good luck with your sale. No matter what, it's still a 4Runner, so people will still see the value in it.

There is not one single 4runner 2wd or 4wd listed on the little rock, AR CL so that helps. :)
 
If you lived near me I'd say high $6k and agree with Johns.

But since runners aren't common in your area, you might be able to sell it for $7.5k.
 
Id list it in the high 7's but MY opinion without 4wd and with 140K + miles on it, its worth $6000-$6500. Good luck with the sale
 
Thanks for all the info guys. I have always had in the back of my mind that I should expect around 6000-6500 sell price so I listed it at $7500. Good to know I was about right. Thanks again.
