Hey just want some opinions. So i have a 1991 4runner that I'm going to sell to get a 3rd gen 4runner. For those of you who don't know i rolled my 1994 4Runner and totaled it.

Question: Would it be easier to sell as-is or should i swap my 2in OME lift underneath it with bj spacers?

Sell the rolled one and the 91 together in my mind i would rather have all the extra parts unless you already got rid of it.

I would sell it as is. Then sell your lift separately on the forum or craigslist. That lift won't really add any value to the vehicle. If you had the lift plus bigger tires, maybe. If you still have the wrecked one, part it out. You can get some decent money for parting out a vehicle.

That's kind of what i was thinking. I mean my motor has 208,000 but it still runs, the trans is fine, rear axle, the lift, seats, cluster, etc. I drove it down the street a few days ago and got some wild looks haha, can't blame them when it looks like the entire passenger cabin is smashed.

Plus my OME and spacers weren't even on for more than 6 months :/ might have some dust but are like new.

I parted out my 88 after it blew the HG, I got twice as much money as I paid for it. The value of parts here in the PNW are crazy.

Did you just sell everything on craigslist? How'd you get pricing if you don't mind me asking.

Between the wrecked rig getting parted, selling the good 2nd gen, and selling the lift, that should be plenty of money to pick up a decent third gen.

I just compared the prices to other 4runners/pickups getting parted out on craigslist

When I have parted out 1st gens, most of the parts sold have been on yotatech.com. There is a much bigger classifieds section there with more traffic. You can go there also to get a good base on what your prices should be.

Might be interested in the complete shifter assembly, if it's tight. I have so much slop in mine I can't shift to 4lo (bushing is completely gone)
