Sensors on My Dashboard

Hello:


I have a limited 2003 V8 4 runner. When I got it the dash was in bad shape so I got a replacement dashboard. Seems the replacement (maybe it was not for a limited?) did not have the holes for these two bulb-looking sensors according to the mechanic who replaced it. He said that he had to cut the holes out for them.


Now that my evaporator core has been changed and the dashboard had to be removed and put back again, it seems the two sensors are not soundly attached. Seems I can pull them off and put them back on. Not sure if they were always like that but I noticed it because one was not on well and kinda tilted (you may be able to see the slight slant on the orange one from the photo.)


What are these two sensors or things for?

Im going to guess for auto headlights on sensor
What happened to your evap?

Could be:

• Ambient light sensor: For auto headlights
• Sunlight sensor: Automatic Climate control (some HVAC systems require this, not certain if this is the case).

One is the A/C Solar Sensor and the other is Automatic Light Control Sensor.

The black one is your auto headlight and the other is your A/C
