I'm new to the forum and new to wheeling. If you guys don't mind bringing a newbie. I'm down for a run. I'm in North OC and willing to get out anywhere. I got a stock TEP w/AT tires.

Let me know!

Here's a start if you decide cleghorn. This pretty much how I do my pre-run is looking at the route on google maps aerial view. Trail head starts at cleghorn Rd 2N47(off 15 after 215 & 15 meet) and ends at 138 silverlake. Left on 138 then right on 173. Follow 173 to the levy (can see it on aerial view google maps) and pilot rock trail head is by the levy. you can pick up pilot rock trail (2N33) from there that ends at lake arrowhead. All I did was trace the route on google aerial view. Once you're on the trail, it's easy to follow on gps making sure you're on the right trail. Hope that helps.

Cleghorn is actually very easy. Along the trail there are routes that can be very difficult if you want to take them. You don't have to take the difficult shoots if you don't want to

Matt beat me to it. He's right. Main trail is fairly easy and there's some offshoot that you can test your rig. You will be fine. I did it with my 2wd so that's saying something. Have fun! Wish I'm going with you guys.

A great meet up place is on the right side dirt parking lot on the trail head off cleghorn rd as you exit off 15 freeway. You can see it on google map aerial view. Meet up time is up to you guys but we met at 9am, did safety checks 0915 and started the run at 0930. Just a suggestion.

I'm going. Finally got schedule freed up. Unfortunately I have been busy since my grandma had a bad stroke and my dad can't struggle with her new skills and attitude.

I just noticed a minor ding from my Gorman class. It's small and not a big deal, but if I'm going to go off-roading, I think I want to have some basic protection like bumpers and sliders first. What's the old saying about an ounce of prevention?

Went to 4 wheel parts and picked up a Toyota parts catalog, but didn't see many bumpers for the 4runner. Will have to do some googling.

I'll join you guys just as soon as I get the parts installed.
