You got me there. I've only been in San Diego for a few months now since I got back from deployment. I've only had my 4Runner, and my interest in all this for a month, so... I don't know many places.
I don't know what difficulty most people would want to run, either. I know I would prefer something a little easier or at least be with experienced people since I have zero 4x4 experience.

Otay Mountain, Deer/Welks Springs in Escondido, more Big Bear, Anza possibly if weather is decent.
I'm in for this one for sure.

This is a link to a run that has been posted on this site for over a week now.....yep...in an appropriate section called... "Trail Runs"...which has generated absolutely no interest from the San Diego County T4R members.

I'm in the same boat as you. Love to go as well but the poor 4runner is in no shape to tackle a trail like that. As far as interest there is confirmed list of like 8 people going so they have quite a bit of people going. Lol. Still unsure of a trail run for September at the moment.

Had a great afternoon at Deer Springs, there's some tough stuff out there.
Now I'm in the wheeling mood!
Who's down for a trail run on like the 22, or 23 of September. Big bear, cleghorn, otay?

I've run Cleghorn before and it's a blast, but it's quite the drive for someone from San Diego.

Ive been to Cleghorn before and it is pretty fun. It has some pretty tough side trails but still fun. Yea I know the drive is pretty far cause I use to live in Mira Mesa by Qualcom Stadium..
