Sequoia split spoke rims

I've been looking for new wheels to push out my tires about 1.25in. After my lift and new 275 70 17 tires my tires rub my upper CA when fully locked plus I want the look of a little wider stance.

Been looking at the l8 mk6 and the fn fx pro but also have been thinking about the sequoia split spoke wheels. I don't want to run spacers so does anyone know if they come in dimensions that would push out the tire 1.25inches? I currently have the stock 17" limited wheels.

I found a few for sale online but trying to get back spacing info.

Why don't you wanna run spacers? A large majority of the members on here run them

yeh, i know a lot do. i actually bought a set of spidertrax.

ive been tossing back and forth whether to go spacers or new wheels. id LOVE new wheels...but dont want to spend the cash right now.

1. was thinking of:
FN FX Pro
L8 MK6
but those would all cost me $600+

2. A set of Sequoia wheels would be like $350 minus anything i sell my Limited wheels for. I paid $180 for the spacers, so instead i could prob get Sequioa wheels for $180 after selling my Limited wheels instead of buying (return) spacers.

3. saw some scary posts on spacers but i know that is because of faulty installation. still in the back of my mind tho.

4. want something new looking. i love my limited wheels but want something less meaty.

as far as i could tell Sequoia wheels are 17x7.5 with 15mm offset

i think im just gonna go with spacers for now and save up for the FN FX Pro wheels. :)

5th gen wheels and FJ wheels both fit and have a 15mm offset. This is about 0.6" out over stock and are fairly easy and cheap to find.

It looks like the sequoia wheels (17") have the same 15mm offset (can't positively confirm, just a quick google search)

i wanted to push out about 1.25" so my tires would be flush w the body.

i do love the sequoia wheels tho. .6 may be enough just to not rub the uca anymore...

I'm running the FJ wheels and would call it flush, 1.25" has a little more poke (I tried spacers, switched to FJ wheels)

I clear my aftermarket UCAs without issue with my 285s. Another member with the same wheels cleared their stock UCAs, also with 285s.

Sequoia wheels have that classic look, I personally prefer the 5th gen or my FJ wheels, but looks like identical specs so take your pick =)

5th gen wheels as in the 6 spoke trail edition ones? i like those but they cost a lot. i could buy FN FX Pro wheels instead.

FJ wheels are cool too but i do like the split spoke of the sequoia wheels.

maybe i'll try it out. hopefully the offset will be enough aesthetics wise. im running 275 70 17.

thx!

oh yeh! they are pretty flush. awesome! thanks for the pics. i'll prob pick up the wheels next week. there is someone selling 5 with 4 caps and 4 sets of lugs for $365.

thanks!

We run the sequoia on son's 05 with spacers they are 7" wheels ! The fj or 8 hole wheels are 7.5" which I have on my 11' with spacers , lil rub at lock & back up ! :fish2::lalala:

hm, are they 7 or 7.5" wide? from what i've been reading they are 7.5..

I've run spacers on both & no problems , but the slight rubbing . Checked out the Mickey Ts ? 17x 8 4.65 bs ? Pretty sure that's incorrect not 100% but measured mine & were 7"

Well went back & searched some older posts & stated that should be a stamp on inside wheel 17x 7.5 so ! But still don't think you'll get what you want !

ah

yeh? u dont think it will push out tires a little and avoid rubbing the uca (without spacers)? i guess it depends on the tires. all tires are diff. im running cooper at3 275 70 17s.

i really like the look of the split spokes. i really want it to work. :T

If the sequoia wheels are 17x7.5+15mm, you'll be fine and clear the UCA w/out issues. Looks like those seqoia wheels are identical to the 5th gen and the FJ wheels. (17"x7.5" +15mm)

Here's a better picture of the poke. Your 275s will have slightly more poke, this picture is the 265/70s again

sweet! thanks for the pics. that really helps.

#1 priority is to stop the rubbing.
#2 is poke and new wheel style for aesthetics.

if i want more poke later i guess i can get some spacers

how many color options are there? i've seen

gunmetal
chrome
silver

is Silver the same as hyper silver? it could be the way some pictures look but some look more metalic silver and others look more like plain grey silver.... if that makes sense.

No idea, I've always assumed people were painting them
