Sequoia Wheels and Running Boards off! :-)

Finally after months of wanting these wheels picked some up on CL and removed the running boards, looks much better! This 4Runner is a 2000, was traded in to my dealership, guy in his sixties that was the original owner. Heres a few pics, the last pic is with the old wheels and runnings boards, pulling my 21ft Cobalt.

If you are going to continue to tow the Cobalt with the 4runner, look into adding a tranny cooler and Tundra brakes as well. Some 906 springs in the rear will help keep the rear from sagging (you may want to install some 881s in the front as well).

Thanks guys for the comments, and LittleCaesar that is exactly what I plan on adding after watching the forum for a few months, sounds like the best bet is to just replace radiator (koyo) and tranny cooler. I have an 01 Tundra that I mostly pull it with but it's 2wd and the 4Runner pulls it out better in slippery boat ramps locked in. What does that suspension set up cost?

IMHO the stiffer springs such as the 906 OMEs help with lateral stiffness of the trailer in compared to the stock springs. The 881s are used in front to offset the rake caused by the 906s. Members usually replaced their shocks at the same time. If you get the suspension bug though, only your wallet can limit your choices so to speak.

There are many threads on suspension. Many of the supporters of this site sell OME products. Click on them and just take the time to look what they have to offer.

Ever tried running 20 psi or lower at the ramp? My buddy had a 2wd long bed Ford 250 and would spin tires pulling a 22ft CC up an algae covered ramp. Sand, weights, etc. in the bed did little for him. Ultimately a locker (can't remember the company) was installed and it was as if he had a new truck. Pulled up with ease. It may be something to consider for the future.

I currently have 265/70/17 all terrains but wonder if I could have gone to a 75 without rubbing or little rubbing

I've never seen a 265/75/17 tire. I have 255/75/17 on 4Runner with no rubbing at all and I'm on stock suspension.
