IIRC its something like 285/75/15 is the standard size equivalent to my 33x12.50x15.

Gotcha thanks for the reply yeah a 285/75/17 would rub for sure even on my stock 4wd. Right now the 265/70/17 is less than an inch from rubbing the front fender lip. Under certain turns and with dips in the road it slightly rubs every so often. 265/70 was stock tire size I just went from a 16stock to the 17 wheel so added one inch exactly.
Phdn you are right there are no 265/75/17 tires out there on tire rack at least. Also no 265/80/17 out there.

I was looking for height or aspect ratio thicker tires but it looks like there's no way for me to do it unless I move down to a 255 width which I may consider or move up to a 285 which would need a lift and I don't want to do.
255/75/17 doesn't offer the bfg all terrains I like only mud terrains. Looks like I'm with the right tire size for this rim and no lift for my 4runner.

Ya mine is 4wd. The 255/75/17 I'm running right now is a 32x10x17. It's a great size tire. Here is a picture of my 4Runner with the tire size.

Thanks man. Mine is a 1999 and honestly I haven't looked how close they are to rubbing but I can turn the wheel all the way in both directions without rubbing at all. They are nitto trail grapplers but I wouldn't recommend them because they are very heavy. I'm probably going to get a set of Cooper AT3s soon in the same size as my nittos.

Yeah I wish there was an easy way to compare weight of all tires. Do you know if the bfg all terrains are heavy in Comparison?

Also aren't 99s higher stock than 00?
Wonder if your tires would rub on my car or how much higher yours is.

It depends on the load range you get but the BFG AT KO2 in a 265/70/17 load range c weights 46.5 lbs. My nittos weight 59 lbs a piece. 99s are higher but there is a member on here running the same size tire on his 02 which was considered the lowest of the years and he doesn't have any rubbing. If you are going to do a lot of wheeling then I would look it get a p series tire instead of an LT tire.

Do you think the BFG AT KO2s are of the lightest All Terrains?

So you're saying if I do a lot of driving on unpaved roads then then load range C wont do and I'll need the heavier tires?

See I like your car with the running boards off, normally I like the running boards on contrary to most others on the forum. Typically to me it makes the car look incomplete and naked without them since the side is not as substantial as front end it looks incomplete. But with your car since you have the limited door mouldings protruding it looks awesome...anyone else agree?

No what I'm saying that if you are doing a lot of road driving then I would look into a P series tire because they weight less but a load range c tire would be good for everything. No need for a load range e. I know BFG ATs are not the lightest AT tire. There are a quite a few options they weight less than BFGs.

Running 265/70/17 BFG AT's on my '00 Limited 4X4. Sitting at 245k on the clock, and it still gets complements!! I've thought about removing the running boards, but I think it would look like a cat stretching upwards! I have a 2-3" OME lift on mine.
