Service engine light question

Recently while driving the service engine light comes on accompanied by the VSC OFF, "sliding", and VSC TRAC lights. They will eventually turn off before i have a chance to get it looked at. It happened today while driving into reno, so i stopped by the dealership but there wasnt a tech available to take a look. Just seeing if anyone has any input.

Have them scan the computer for history codes. Se if that gives them a place to go. Also if it is intermittent then the best bet is to leave it at a shop until it happens for the tech.

I had something similiar and after the tech read the code (something about a gross leak in the emissions system), he tightened my gas cap, cleared the code, told me a few things to try if it DID come back, but it never did occur again. No charge, of course.

 

[ALLEGRO]

Really sounds like the gas cap. Take it off and re-install. Happened to me and I had just NOT put the cap on all the way.
